Re: h&r
I WAS LOOKING FOR a different style forehand. Mine came with the normal rounded but I see alot of pics where people have bigger ones that are flat.

Re: h&r
Choate makes a few different style stocks for the H&R rifles. They are all synthetic in case it matters.

Re: h&r
That there is made by Gunstocksinc.com . They are unfinished and you must fit them, which involves some minor bedding/floating work for the barrel channel and some trimming the length where the spacer screws into the forearm. You must then sand it in steps from about 80grit to about 1000-1500 grit, dewhisker it a few times. Then use a couple grades of steel wool. After that you finish it to your likings. Mine has 25-30 coats of TruValue Tung Oil Finish. The finish alone took about 3 weeks to apply(coat, let get tacky, steel wool off the excess, allow to dry, then reapply). The fitting, sanding and dewhiskering has about 2-3 weeks in it too with 2-8hrs a day of handwork.
The one pictured on my rifle is the "Handi-rifle Target/Varmint Forend". Mine is the walnut, $45.
You will then need a longer forearm screw. And I'd recommend doing the rubber o-ring trick.
