What type do you prefer and why? I prefer my fobus paddle holster or my serpa paddle because I hate the way an inside the pants type holster feels on my hip and I don't like having to buy larger pants to fit my sidearm

Although I carry IWB 90% of the time, my leather OWB belt holster is still the best. Comfortable, keeps the gun close while still affording me a good draw, and retains my PT140 well. I've got a Fobus for range duty, and as long as I work in a customer facing position my IWB will still get a workout any day I don't wear a sweater, but my belt holster is far better.

Agree. Bersa thunder .380 Plus, Relatively small weapon, wont wear it IWB... Pokes me all the time... Paddle holster all the way

I rarely wear my shirt tucked in, and i am no less wide with the width of the gun inside my waistband rather than outside. So I cc OWB. way comfortable and no less concealable, except if my shirt rides up, but i am none too concerned.

I also get a much better grip OWB.

And in the winter if I pull my shirt behind it or tuck in with a jacket or other cover on it is much better accesable.

I use a OWB. The IWB type look uncomfortable to me. I didn't want to spend the money just try one.

I have a belly band and a ankle holster. i have not yet tried them.

It was a toss up between my leather OWB, and my Kydex IWB, but I went with IWB because I don't wear a belt much anymore (they all, eh, shrunk), and the COMP-TAC clips to my jeans. I tried gangsta style once when I went shooting with my Glock cased, but went out afterward and wanted to carry it. I learned quickly that gangstas must piss in their pants alot, cuz I couldn't find a way to hold on to the gun and everything else that needed holding when I had to use a public restroom.

ETA: Somebody's always got another choice not mentioned in these polls, and mine would be pocket holster. That's how I carry when I have a heavy coat or I'm on my bike.

The SP101 rides on the hip, OWB most of the time.

I like a belt slide or pancake type holster. Not a fan of paddles, though I do have one for the SP101, and one or two for guns no longer owned.
