Can my ltcf be used as legal I.D.
I have had my ltcf for nine years and was just wondering if it could be used as a legal form of I.D. It is issued by the state. I forgot my D.L. once and had my ltcf in my car and used it at a bar to get served. The bartender a young girl looked at it like WTF is this looked at me and served me. The only problem was later in the night she told me she thought I was with the sheriffs dept. because it has the sheriffs office logo in the background. I corrected her of course and went on working on my buzz. So can my ltcf be used for anyhting else?

Yes.
But many places will not know that (as you found out)_________________________________________

Of course some counties still issue the paper LTCF without a photo, so in that case you might have a tough time using it to prove that you are you...without any other ID to back it up

When I've forgotten my DL, I've tried to use my LTCF but most of the places refused to accept it. Needless to say, I will never go back to those places again.

I have successfully used it to board a plane while in West Virginia. I left my DL in the rental car and when I got to the airport the only ID I had was my LTCF. The TSA Agent jokingly asked if I was carrying, and let me pass without incident.

Most people that i have showed mine to for I.D. purpose thought it was a fake I.D.

I haven't had any problems using mine as ID, both for buying ammo and alcohol.

Re: Can my ltcf be used as legal I.D.
Sat down to sign the papers for the new house and was asked to produce two forms of ID.........no advanced warning of needing this!
I carry one CC, my D/L and my LTCF (paper version, folded in half and laminated) in my wallet. I didn't know what to do! I showed my D/L and mentioned the other things that were in my wallet and was delighted to hear the signing agent say that the LTCF was a valid ID! The selling agent and our realtor were as suprised as my wife and I were.
So yes, if the person who needs to see it is aware the fact, the LTCF is a valid ID, picture or not.C.R.
