O3A3 advice/help

Anybody into old military stuff? My problem is an O3A3 that shoots 10"-12" high at 100 yds. And yes the back sight is down as low as it will go. Anyone know where I can get a taller front sight?

The sights came in several different heights, I recall "A" is the tallest.

If you're handy with a Dremel, a used Sawz-All blade should be the same thickness as the M1903 front sight. With a cookie wheel on your Dremel or similar tool, you should be able to fashion a custom sight blade. Quench frequently to avoid losing the temper.

thanks, I may try the sawsall blade, if not I"ll try the washington co. gun show. It was pretty big last year.

Here is something you can do in the interim. Get some small shrink wrap, apply to front sight, heat, shrink, then cut to the height you require.

If you cut too short, just remove and repeat.
