Re: Washington County Gun Show...
Stopped by today... it was a lot of fun. Lots and lots of people, so parking sucked, but everyone was really friendly. The layout is so confusing and there are no signs anywhere it seems (find the entrance, then go thru building#1 to building #2... and I was thinking "this is it?!"... but wait, go thru the kitchen in building #2, out the door, around the corner, and into the HUGE building #3!).
Lots of ridiculously overpriced ARs and AKs (some reasonable ones too on part kits and full guns), but it felt like a lot of stuff was simply priced higher than need be, at least compared to last time I was there. Magazines and clips were set at new retail price regardless of condition at a lot of booths too. I was looking at a Mossberg that I'd pay around $300 for and the guy said it was $450 and would be banned soon (a pump 12 gauge 7 shot?). And ammo prices across the board were way up (at least for what i was looking for) so I'll stick to online shopping for that. There were good deals to be found if you looked and haggled, and some real cool guns to oogle.
If you're in the area, stop by. It's just $5 to get in!

Re: Washington County Gun Show...
Just got back from it, and yeah there were some really high prices on the ARs & AKs. Managed to pick up a DPMS AR lower for $200, which is at least reasonable in my opinion. There was a full Bushy set out for $1k, but it was gone when I came back around, so I guess somebody else made my choice between full gun or receiver for me.
Had a friend that was looking for a Savage .223, and was surprised there wasn't more along those lines. Some 'assault' rifles, some bigger caliber hunting guns, but not much in the aspect of target shooting. Oh well, guess there's always next time.
All in all, not a bad way to spend the day. Got my money's worth.
