Took some shots with some Federal HST's

ok didnt have any ballistics gel but i had a very tightly packed mound of mudd. I shot three different types of hollow points all 147 gr ( Federal HST, Winchester SXT and Federal Hydra-shoks) I dunno whats this is worth but here is my results, Both the sxt and hydra-shocks broke apart in many pieces and the HST's were the only ones to stayed intact. Here at pics of two different slugs that i fired, i image this would be different in ballistics gel.

Assuming the reason for extreme expansion was because the hollow point packed with mud but how far did they penetrate ?

I saw them at BPS but both 9mm and .380 were sold out of the defence rounds. Had a bunch of the target rounds though.

This past summer at one of the Pittsburgh group shoots a guy from Corbon brought some ballistic gel. In the photo's below you can see the results of a 9mm 147 grain HST HP shot from my Kahr CW9, and a 45 caliber HST, not sure of the weight or the gun used.
