bear...very cool. i have also gotten the bug to do a colt sp cone. i wanted to buy an original but at the latest gun show there were ranging around $1200-$1400

. can you elaborate on what you used if i wanted to do this myself? and maybe were to find the materials. thanks

otherwise most parts can be found on gunbroker just search under m16 or retro, thoes are the two I usually search under.

Nice collection fordmech00. I've been itching to add an A2 to the collection but money doesn't permit currently.

Both of the receivers were made by Tactics, LLC. I purchased both and the parts a few years ago when they were plentiful and cheap. I just finally got around to putting them together. I actually built both for around $550 each. I know that's never going to happen again.

Retro parts are actually much easier to find than they used to be, just not as cheap unfortunately.

The SP, clone or not, is cool as all get out! Great photos guys. An SP was the first high powered rifle I ever had the opportunity to shoot. If I ever see the guy again who let me shoot it, I will tell him that he owes me a LOT of money for having the gun bug bite me.
