    Default My new custom holsters!!!

I ordered some custom holsters from a gentleman on 1911forum.com, he actually found me instead of me finding him. I was looking for a holster for my 6" longslide 1911 and couldnt find any, so he offered to make me one. I also had one made for my commander sw1911pd, the work on these is amazing, the fit is perfect, and the turnaround was VERY quick (lightspeed compared to companies like Milt Sparks). And these are TRUE custom leather rigs, hand tooled with the designs I wanted. Here are some pictures of them. (i am a horrid photographer sorry )
http://www.purekustomholsters.com/ is his website, be sure to tell him i sent you, he is fairly new to the holster business and i was one of his very first customers. Even though he is new to the business the quality of his leather work is amazing to say the least. He is also a great guy and called me multiple times to go over what he was doing, how much longer things were going to take, ask for my opinions on the tooling and such. I Highly recommend buying a holster from this gentleman. Hand tooling is NOT required on his holsters you can get them plain jane as well.

i dont consider them that much, he has prices for all his holsters on his website and charged me $50/hr for the custom tooling.

ive deleted all the info he sent me but he quoted me for 1-2hrs on the 6" holster and 1hr on the commander holster, the mag holders were probably about an hour each

total i paid around $675 for all four pieces shipped.

Those holsters and mag holders are awesome!!!

I am going to call or e-mail him to see if he can do retention holsters the same way. A holster like that deserves to be carried in the OPEN.

no strap is needed, the leather molding provides more than ample retention.

The retention I am talking about is for Open Carry. I am not worried about it falling out. My concern is for the idiot who may try to remove it and it would give me another second or two to beat the living snot out of whoever that may be. If I am going to spend the money to have a beautiful holster like yours, I am going to want people to see it. I have a holster for a flashlight that was custom made from ray skin. I have had many comments on it and people are curious about what it is made from. I see a holster like yours to be an ice breaker in that people will comment on the holster and it could lead into a positive encounter about OC.

I will be sure to mention your name when I contact the builder.
