    Your right they were made for tankers. I one hundred percent agree with the button part. It dosent make for real easy opening and closing either. Is there a way to put a normal (using this term losely) on these?

    to put a "normal" folder on the back would require a new rear trunnion i suppose.

    also, for easier opening and closing, put a lighter spring behind the button.
    Unscrew the button, take the spring out, and hit the hardware store and find another spring of thesame diameter, and cut it to fit.

    I used a chunk of pistol recoil spring, made the button half as stiff.

    i always wear gloves when shooting, so the button rub doesn't bother me.
