House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
Yes, you read it right...The The Firearms Registration Act. It would require a registration certificate for each gun at a cost of $10.00 per year, plus background checks and fingerprints. After reading the bill, it appears to me that the entire procedure would be required annually for each gun you own!!!
The up side is that this bill would directly effect the hunters who don't own handguns and have been uninvolved and disinterested in 2nd amendment issues...up until now.

Re: House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
Damn, seem like battle after battle is going on constantly in Harrisburg. Who elected these knuckle heads? They seem to want to turn PA into another Joysey? I am wordless man, I have no idea that some of these politicians think like traitors to the 2A and the majority of the PA folks. Unbelievable!

Re: House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
Its also yet another tax in the minds of some legislators. Gun ownership is considered a "sin" and a danger to public health...like smoking. (smoking gun) and they think gun owners must be registered like pedophiles since we "lurk" around neighborhoods with our guns!
if you ever see my post edited...its most likely for speling :D

Re: House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
Gun owners and Hunters' or shooters' in Pa best take note and action NOW before they slide this thru behind our backs. this reg. bill will require you to pay $10.00 per yr per gun along with other restrictions on your rights. You will be required to get finger printed for ea application and they must all be renewed yearly. This should not be taken lightly.Gun Owners of America has a link on their site where you can email your Rep & Sen. on issues.Phone calls are needed. We must all band together and put a stop to this NOW before it get out of committee. Pass the link to all Pa Gun Owners ASAP and urge immedate action. PLEASE. --JMJ--

Re: House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
AS WRITTEN, HB760 is illegal under PA Law. (See Unified Firearms Act) There is no provision in this bill to amend the UFA therefor the law forbids any form of a "firearms registry" to be kept.
Now, i am in NO WAY advocating just sitting on our asses and do nothing about it even though it will never become law. It should be noted that these anti-gun liberals are so determined to take away our rights they not only have no problems with unconstitutional laws, but also illegal laws. Go figure.
Also there is a thread already going on this matter... http://www.pafoa.org/forum/pennsylva...istration.html

Not sure anymore, but fingerprint cost is probably at least $10.00 also.

Re: House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
In addition to the PAUFA, this new bill also violates Federal Law:
Federal Law 18 U.S.C. 926 (2) (a)) being: No such rule or regulation prescribed after the date of the enactment of the Firearms Owners Protection Act may require that records required to be maintained under this chapter or any portion of the contents of such records, be recorded at or transferred to a facility owned, managed, or controlled by the United States or any State or any political subdivision thereof, nor that any system of registration of firearms, firearms owners, or firearms transactions or disposition be established. Nothing in this section expands or restricts the Secretary's authority to inquire into the disposition of any firearm in the course of a criminal investigation.

Re: House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
Once again with liberal ignorant anti-gun types why are about as smart as a pile of crap. Funny how if they break the law it is ok. I'm tired of (pardon spelling) hypocrties and double standard politicans and those who support them. They all need to SHUT UP and open their minds to reality and the TRUTH.

Re: House bill 760...The Firearms Registration Act
I have kicked out an e-mail to everyone I know about this bill. Someone mentioned early, that it will include the hunters now. Who....up to this point were pretty good at keeping out of this issue cause it didn't effect them. (Look out Zembo, here they come) We all need to get the word out to all. If you don't, make an effort, we will never stop it.
The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control....
