Question What was the first gun you bought?

Reading BigJLen's posts made me remember buying my first gun, it was a Bushmaster M4 style carbine. The first pistol I bought was a Para P16-40.

    What were your first purchases?

First gun was given to me by my father when I was very little. A Taurus Competition Air-Rifle. After about 20 years, its still going strong, and its still with me.

The first real firearm I bought, was my XD-45.

The first long gun I actually paid for was a 1100 Remington 12 gauge.

The first handgun I paid for was a Colt 1991A1 Commander.

Handgun: Glock 26 (subcompact 9mm). No regrets. If you can only afford one, this is a good choice.
Rifle: A Rock River AR-15 lower, when they were cheap, before the DEA contract. Built into a lightweight carbine with a Model 1 kit.

My first handgun was a Browning Hi-power. I still have it and will never sell it.

My first rifle was a postban Bushmaster AR15. I still love that firearm as well.

My first firearm is a .22 & .17HMR at the same time. I liked the idea of accuracy, and wanted a bolt action for the possibility for hunting. My father insisted we got a semi. 22LR, so we brought them both seeing the .22 came with a scope.

My first purchase was a Winchester Model 70XTR .30/06 that I bought from the Marine Corps PX at Camp LeJeune, NC in 1982 before I got out. I still have the rifle and it is an excellent shooter. It still wears the rather inexpensive Bushnell 3-9x Sportview scope that was purchased with it. The scope has never failed.

My first handgun purchase was several years later and that was a S&W 6" 686 .357mag revolver in stainless steel. It was a sweet shooter, but sadly I had to sell it during a divorce

My First firearm was a Raven 25. I still have it only because it's not worth enough to sell.

My first long gun was a Springfield Model 187 22 semi. It still only works single shot because a spring is broken and I have yet to order one.
