    Default Where to hunt groundhogs?

I'd like to get out this spring and shoot some groundhogs. We used to hunt them on a neighbor's farm when I was kid, but I haven't done it for years and years. How do you guys go about finding somewhere to hunt hogs? Any public land with a good concentration of them, or do I need to find a farmer wililng to let me hunt his farmland?

I have it on good authority that on Feb. 1 there will be a excellent groundhog hunting opportunity.

Just about any farmer should let you hunt groundhogs. They (farmers) hate groundhogs and unlike deer, not many people hunt groundhogs. I would drive around and look for a nice size farm and ask.

Alot depends on the equipment you plan to use. Some counties let you use rimfires only.
Lancaster, Bucks, Berks are counties I hunt. Depends on how I feel and how far I want to drive.
