Any good German eateries in SE PA
Anybody know of a good German place to eat? I used to eat at Ludwig's Garten in Center City, but that has since closed down. I've also ate at the Austrian Villege...
Both places were OK, but I'm looking for a more 'authentic' type German eatery.Peace, Prosperity, and Liberty

Re: Any good German eateries in SE PA
yeah, i would be interested, too!
German / Swiss food is the bomb! not to mention the beer rules, too! hahaha
any good bavarian food w/in about 45min from CC philly??
I liked Ludwig's while it was still around. I would give the food a 3, and the beer/bar a 4 (out of four).
I tried to go there with a friend recently and, much to our dismay, some 'club' style joint was there instead. WTF? needless to say we moved along...
i will have to check out the 'austrian village.'

I haven't been there, but people I trust have eaten there and have said the food is better than Ludwig's.

I'll have to check it out, thanks.
Looks to be a good selection of German beer and food.
Anyone know of a good Czech Pilsner since we're on the topic of beer & food.
Being 1/2 German and 1/2 Czech, I should be a raging alcoholic.Peace, Prosperity, and Liberty

Unfortunately the best German style restaurants have all gone outof business. The best My wife and I came across is in Denver Colorado and there is an excellent one in Maryland but they are to far to travel to . there are some good ones in the western part of the State , but again for an evening meal taht is a trip.

BTW if I comeacross any places not already mentioned I will post .
