    Default carrying in vehicle?

Question. I heard it's not legal to carry loaded in your vehicle. My carry gun is a 5 shot 32 revolver--I'm sure not going to ask a robber to wait until I load...

Is this true? If so, how does one carry and get from point A to point B? If you're going to tell me you have to load there, then how does one not get a bunch of sheeple dialing 911 due to a man loading a gun before getting out of his car?

If you have a LTCF, you can carry loaded (except long guns) in a vehicle.

Yes, with a PA LTCF, or any other license from any state, you may have a loaded firearm (as defined by §6102) in a vehicle. A reciprocally recognized license is only required for concealed carry on or about your person.

Before you ask, NO loaded long guns can be carried or transported in a vehicle - whether you are licensed or not.

Confusing, but I finally got it. Thanks all.

Sounds more like a law against hunting from your car

Just remember too, unless you are going to/from the exempted locations or events in 6106(b) you need a license to have the handgun in your vehicle whether it is loaded or not.
