    Default Reloading

    Hello
I'm new to reloading and have a few questions. I've read a little about it and will read a lot more before I start. I was given an old RCBS press and a die set for .357. Can I also use this to load 38 specials? Any suggestions on type of powder, primers or bullets since you have more experience than myself? Where is the best place to purchase in the Phila area? (I now that's a dumb question.)

Nearly all straight wall cartridge dies will allow the loading of lessor length cartridges. The opposite isn't always true though, like 38spl only dies wont full length resize a 357mag, but 357mag will a 38spl.

I'd go to better bullets for the reloading supplies. Primers. powder and bullets are all available there. I've shot rogers bullets for many years now.

For 38 sp, I'd say titegroup Winchester Super target powder
    For heavy 357's lil'gun or 2400

PS There is a reloading category to post in next time

I'll second Better Bullets and King's Shooting Supply. They always treated me and my wife right, and made my son feel welcome, too. The bullets are very hard cast, accurate, don't lead at the velocities I load at, and reasonably priced.

I love Titegroup for both .38 Special and .357 Magnum. Now, the .357 loads aren't particularly hot, only about 900 fps out of my 3" Ruger SP101, but they are very accurate and fun to shoot all day, since they don't beat you up.

i'm gonna have to 1+ for kings shooting supply as well in KOP. I may be bias because a good freind of mine works there, but the owner hooked me up big time when I first started reloading with a plethora of information that made life easier.
