    Default Police academy!

So my first "class" of the academy starts Jan 10th.

It's a "get in shape" class. Nutrition and health class... to get me ready for my physical test in march. Can't wait.

It's going to be held in CCBC's dome every saturday 9 to 12. The teacher of the class is going to be SGT. Grimm... anyone know him? had class with him? Know what I can get ready to expect from the class?

    It's gonna be fun!

What are the requirements to pass one of these PT tests? Just thought it would be a cool goal to work towards.

So you've been accepted to the academy? thats awesome! well done!
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

you need to pass a physical exam.... that happens march 1.

you also need to pass a psyciatric exam and a physical exam performed by doctors. then you need to pony up the 4 grand it takes to take the course. that's pretty much it.

the pt test is different for different age groups. I'm 30, so i need to run a mile and a half in 12 minutes, bench press 90% of my body weight once, do 26 sit ups in a minute, if you're younger, it's harder. i think if you're 21 to 29 the mile and a half run is 10 minutes or something like that.... THAT'S actually where i want to qualify at.... the 21 to 29 year old requirements... that would be awesome.

thanks for the congrats everyone.... hopefully i have what it takes to continue on in the course
