    Default 350 legend in a .338 suppressor?

    Hey Troops,

Really dumb question here…. I just got a .338 YHM “Bad Larry” suppressor for a couple of 8.6 Blackout builds I’m working on…. And indulging my love for “Gilding the Lilly”, I have read that the Bad Larry has a baffle diameter of .3890 and I note that my .350 legend has a bullet diameter of .357…. Leaving a freebore of .032

Ausuming all things being equal, and my can is concentric to the bore…. It “should be” safe to fire 350 legend pills down my YHM suppressor….. but is it a really, really bad idea? I will get out a caliper and measure each for myself before I even think of trying it…. I will also check my R-9, and Sandman to see what kinda freebore (If that is the right word?), they have built in…. Before I do something very stupid!

    Thanks!
    Fred

Write to YMH and they will tell you. I did and they responded quickly. Asked if the R9 can be used with the 350 Legend. They said yes.

    Hey Guys,

I did get around to writing YHM and they gave their blessing on 350 legend in both their R9 and Bad Larry Cans* they do state 16 inch minimum barrel length. I tried a couple of subs in my Bad Larry, and they worked great*. Sounds like a Daisy BB gun!

*Note*. If you have another manufacturers .338 can. I would check with them first, *cause their tolerance may be tighter, and I would feel bad if you dicked up your can on my say so alone!

    Cheers!
    Fred
