Not to mention that unless you are already a hunter, most people won't have any idea what to DO with game after killing it.

I started stashing foods after the insanity brought about during the Covid pandemic.
Much like my grandparents who lived through the great depression, and swore they would never be hungry again, I have more food on hand than I ever have in the past.
I know I have enough pasta alone (with pasta sauce) to eat every day for 2 months based on what I have on hand.

I don't see myself ever growing my own foods, but I don't think the guy in the video is wrong.

Now I have a year's worth of food plus about 20 food buckets.

The key thing is water, you need a lot to make stuff. Plus you need a lot to flush toilets.

You could put a well in and run the pump with your battery. I do think it turns into a problem though, when the well is not used on a regular basis.

Hunters, especially fudd types are no respecters of etiquette. If you are going hunting after shtf, you had best have armed overwatch.

I have a well I kept my well when they came around and put city water in. So I have both, depending on what spigot you use.
