    Just FYI seeding a beach with copper BB's will be a waste of perfectly good BB's. You can tune out / discriminate different metals. Something like that would be very easy to pass over.

    Many coins contain a large % of copper (a quarter is almost 92% cu), so by excluding copper you risk missing the most commonly “lost” valuable item at the beach.

    But “copper” BBs are copper coated steel

    I got the joke. But I also understand daycrawler*s breakdown. As a fellow detector myself, I agree with his statement. Easy fix by discriminating out the tone of trash targets.

    Funny joke if you manage to get a mix of bb flavors from copper, to lead, zink, aluminum, ext. that right there would make me go home.
