Re: Annealing brass
Holy smokes! That is a serious piece of kit! I honestly have no tips for using that.
When I have to anneal, I do it the old fashioned way. Stand up some brass in a frying pan with water up to just below where I want annealed above - then use a propane torch on the brass. I'm sure that machine does a far better job though.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag

Re: Annealing brass
I remember when I belonged to a 50cal club, the members made their own that looked similar to that,
only with a torch attached to it.FJB

Re: Annealing brass
I saw one of those machines once and was impressed with it. Cool purchase.

Re: Annealing brass
I bought the Burst fire Annealing Machine a couple years ago. I have even annealed 44mag, 41 mag and 45colt, I got mine when brass got so expensive. Glade to see the price has come down on them. It really saves on high pressure rifle brass.

Re: Annealing brass
The one tool i have found to tighten groups is the Lyman M die.I use it for both jacketed, and cast bullets i shoot in my old military rifles,I tried the Lee expansion die. However it only flares the case mouth , and dose nothing for neck tension. I feel the M die sets the bullet straighter with a more uniform neck tension.
