Well this addresses one of my main dislikes about suppressors.
Keeps your gun to a reasonable overall length.
Drop that tax stamp and you'll have my attention.

As I mentioned, suppressor market is ever evolving with lots of new stuff, better, lighter cans, 3d printed cans. Looking forward to buying a couple more of the newer ones.
    Today was a good day!

That doesn't keep a 7 inch barrel from becoming a 13" barrel after adding a suppressor.

Unless you go integral like a 10/22 or similar suppressors will always add length.

That's exactly what the video was about - a new style of suppressor that "covers" the barrel, vs extending from the muzzle.

I have no idea what bogey's "brace" comment has to do with the overall length.

That*s nothing new, HK MP5 SD does that, uses a ported barrel versus putting on end of barrel. Price point is nice in comparison. Looks like you have to add a suppressor so it will still increase length just not as much. Purpose of a SD type ported barrel will allow or should allow the use of 115 grn ammo to be quiet and not having to use subsonic 147 or heavier grain bullets.

Also looks like you can use a regular 9mm suppressor with an adapter instead of a specific made SD suppressor, not sure how that will work out but interested to see how it works and shoots.

Too bad it's mostly absurd without the stock and a tax stamp. (= no longer so affordable)

I just bought a VZ61 parts kit and was thinking about going with a 3d printed lower. But I plan to get a tax stamp and SBR it, so I need a lower receiver that isn't going to wear out over time. The 3D printed stuff is great for funsies, but not for a long term "investment", IMO.
