    Sounds like I was spot on with "costs too much" - and a lot of comments are saying that their state or their utility company do not allow them.


    EDIT: Searching "GenerLink" on YouTube results in almost NOTHING other than this company, and a few electric companies.
    If this were as great as they say, there would be dozens of "generator geek" YouTube channels with their own videos.
    I wouldn't touch them with a 100ft pole. First, it's a violation of your electric agreement to tamper with your meter. That alone can get you in trouble with them. You need them more than they need you. Second, you should know what you're doing before messing with your meter or any electricity.

    And I did exactly what that comment said, only it was 50a. I got my generator in 2017, 10kw, and not 2 weeks later we lost power for 3 days. I hadn't even hooked it up yet. So it was a mad dash to get the wires run, shut off the mains, and fired up the generator, and the house came to life. That was a pretty awesome feeling.
