BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Altoona police say a Blair County couple is facing child endangerment charges following an investigation into the discharging of a firearm inside an apartment earlier this week.

Police say Kalb Clifford and Sicilia Allen are jailed after drugs and multiple illegal firearms were discovered inside their Altoona apartment on Monday.

Authorities say officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of 13th Avenue, just before 10 a.m. Monday, after a witness reported finding a bullet hole in the wall of a neighboring apartment.

Police say the witness told officers that she recalled hearing a "loud bang" over the weekend prior to discovering the bullet hole.

Officers say they later found a similar bullet hole inside Clifford and Allen's apartment, at which time the couple reportedly admitted that a firearm had been accidentally discharged on Saturday.

Police also noted that the apartment was found to be in deplorable condition, with a 1-year-old baby also living with the couple.

Upon further investigation, police say they discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia, as well as multiple illegal firearms.

Police noted that Clifford was prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Authorities say the couple was taken into custody and the child was given to the custody of Blair County CYF.

Both Clifford and Allen are jailed at the Blair County Prison.

That's really prejudiced, and it's really unfair to judge people like that.
