🦌Hunter injured after falling from tree stand; equipment stolen

MONETA, Va. (WDBJ) - A hunter was injured after falling from a tree stand Sunday, December 1, according to the Moneta Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews responded at 6:12 a.m. to reports of a hunter who had fallen from a tree stand on the 1300 block of Stony Fork Road.
The hunter was nearly half a mile from a house, and four-wheel drive vehicles were necessary for access, according to the fire department.
Crews drove as close as possible before hiking 1/4 of a mile to locate the injured hunter, according to firefighters.
