Do you still have your first gun?

Curious if anyone still has their first gun. I was going in my safe and found my rossi model 62 takedown that my dad and grandfather gave me when I was 8 years old. I've had it going on 33 years and have shot many thousands of rounds through it. I will for sure be taking it to the range on my next trip as I haven't shot it in well over a decade

Mine was stolen out of my truck in 1993. Never got it back. I still get updates from the police every three years.

I am not sure what my first rifle or shotgun were but I know I don't have them. I do still have my first 45 though, a Colt Government Model bought new in 1976

I remember shooting my first shotgun in my dads back yard in broomall. Those were the days.

Yep. Jennings J-22, given to me by my father for when I was backcountry camping.

It actually has been a pretty reliable pistol.

I have one also. It hangs on a nail in my basement/workshop.

Nope.

Given my first .22 bolt action at around age 10.
Shotgun around age 12.

As a result of "family stuff" I haven't seen them in 30 years and doubt I ever will again.

The first gun I bought as an adult was a shotgun for home defense. Sold it long ago.

Yes. I can*t remember whether I bought my rifle or shotgun first. Both were bought within a month of each other. Both were bought at the Marine Corps PX at Camp LeJeune, NC around 1982. I was getting out in Sept 1983 and wanted to be ready for hunting season when I got home.

Rifle is a Win 70XTR in .30/06 that still shoots sub 1* groups at 100 yards to this day, often better.

Shotgun is a Savage 311 12ga double barrel. Plain Jane, nothing fancy but I love this shotgun. Lots of memories hunting grouse and pheasant here in PA.

My Remington nylon 66 has been with me since about 1961 when I was 12.
I use old aluminum arrows as speedloaders and just moved a couple of those in my safe. I'm thinking I shot it in the spring and still.have the 100 yard target in a binder.
I love that rifle.
