I’ve owned a stainless steel Ruger Super Redhawk for over 30 years. I use regular cleaning stuff like Hoppe’s or CLP. To clean off the carbon I use a Lead Away cloth. A few rubs and good as new.

Re: Maintaining A Stainless Gun
I got it, last one, I promise. Being new to revolvers, I notice that no matter what, you will get that line on the cylinder between the various chambers because it revolves and will hit on whatever it is called that locks the cylinder into place and causes it to rotate to next position. Or am I allready damaging it? Seems factory fresh I see that small wear between the various chambers and I assume if it were blued you would see it even more.
Am I doing something wrong here?Gunowner99 - NRA Benefactor Life Member
