David Lawrence Convention Center, Pittsburgh

Hi, I was wondering if you can carry a gun in the David Lawrence convention center in Pittsburgh or do you have to go through metal detectors? Any help would help thank you.

Though I have attended shows and events there numerous times, I can't recall if there is posted signage regarding private property or no weapons policies. I have never had to go through metal detectors for any of the events that I have attended, but some events might add them if event security mandates their need. But there are no permanent metal detectors to go through for entry. Again, event security parameters might add wanding or detectors, but nothing ever for events I have been there for (home shows, car shows, etc. A search of their web site also did not reveal any property policies for weapons.

I’ve been to the David Lawrence Convention Center a couple of times, and yeah, they usually have metal detectors set up. From what I remember, carrying a gun inside isn't allowed unless you're law enforcement or have a special permit. It’s always a good idea to double-check their current rules before you go, though, just to be sure.
