Calif bans readers under 18. This HAS to be illegal

...for adults 18 years of age or over. By continuing to use this Forum you are confirming that you are 18 or older. No content shall be viewed by any person under 18 in California.

(Opening warning on a shooter's website. This REALLY pisses me off. Should have known the over 18 requirements everyone is posting came from California).

Probably a legal bs requirement by CA and they're oinly doing it to avoid being sued.

I wouldn't want anyone from that commie state seeing my stuff anyway, regardless of age. Can you ban a state from a forum?

I don't keep track of what sites but I frequently encounter the need to click on, "I am over 18", when entering some sites.

Yeah a lot of the links i click on in the share your deals thread make you check the box. Also isn't there some states that make you do it for porn sites?

I'd say get over it and welcome to our modern world of stupid. Just about all the forums esp. firearm related sites now have the meaningless boilerplate disclaimer now. Its certainly not unique to California.
