Default What are you all doing for ammo storage?

So far I've used my safe for a portion of my ammo storage, but that's becoming less viable. Safe is beyond capacity now, so it makes more sense to pull the ammo that is in there out, and use the space for guns that dont currently fit. Add in the fact that I've got multiple cases of ammo just lying around already, and I could use a better system. Ideally something that is fireproof.

What's everyone using? Another safe? Something homemade? Ignore the fire risk and just let it in ammo cans?

I use a large metal firebox with ammo cans.
That is now full, so the overflow is in ammo cans with a moisture absorbing pack tossed in.

Harbor freight ammo cans. When they go on sale I pick up 5-10 at a time.

Ammo cans from either HF or an LGS when in stock, stacked on heavy-duty steel "Muscle Rack" brand shelving from Lowes, the 3' or 4' wide industrial type with the steel pins that fit in tapered slots.

I also bought sheets of plywood or "project panels" made from glued-up softwood strips and placed one of appropriate size on top of the particleboard shelf boards that come with the Muscle Rack shelving unit.

The ammo cans are labeled on top, flat end opposite the closure, and one side using this model 1733011 Dymo label printer:

I keep all my ammo at the store. Clean, dry, safe, and a (nearly) endless supply.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I have 3x that exact shelf. You can't fully load it, mine is flexing under the weight. Also it didn't come with pads for the feet, just metal pieces that would dig into the floor if you don't put something down first.

I had to double up the boards due to the sagging, and every few years or more I flip the boards.

Mine don't flex as long as I have placed a plywood or project panel on top of the shelf boards that came with the shelving rack.

The particleboard shelf panels do sag, which prompted me to spend the $$ on plywood or project panels to stiffen each shelf.

I have my ammo in ammo cans with dessicant packs stacked on one of those cheap, plastic shelves on my basement floor. The shelf looks like this but not stacked, just one.
