took these in front of my apartment, with a Nikon Coolpix. the moon, venus (the brighter one) and jupiter.

Very cool,I been watching it for the past 10 days or so!! Very cool stuff!!
I believe this past sunday was the best evening for veiwing !

So that is what the 2 bright "stars" are together, I was wondering what was going on

We had a perfect view of it while driving south on 95 a few nights ago. At one point a plane was just under the moon and it looked like 3 stars.

I saw that last night on the way home and first thought it was a plane so I ignored it until it never moved... pretty cool looking.

here, it looks like an upside down frownie face. in australia, they got a smiley face.

and as a friend of mine quipped "a lower, darker spot was identified as Uranus."
