The main reason I started reloading was to be able to shoot more. for most of the 90s it was around 200>250 rnds per week. 1st it was .38/357, then the 9mm craze. Finally got back into .45acp. All the while loading for .243 and various 30 cals for hunting. Reached retirement and various health issues and now trying to get back into it. Last couple of years since losing my wife, lucky to do 300 rounds all year.

That's a good position to be in.

These days, even if I do have "available free time", I find that stuff just is too much hassle to do and I don't want to bother.

I might feel differently if everyone else on Earth stayed home when I want to go out and I had some kind of weather control device.

Not as much anymore, for my wife and I nowadays. We still block off two days a month for our practice sessions. 50-100 rounds of drills or different courses of fire each session with our carry guns, then a little more practice with the shotgun or .22 pistol - depends.

When we first started down the firearms path (back in the 80s and then 90s) we were at the range 2-3 times a week, then between 2000 to 2015 or so it was down to weekly sessions.

Last year I found out that a friend had only been to the range once the year before, so we made an agreement to meet up once a month for some trigger time. (Usually 50 - 100 rounds).

Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

I voted "Once a month" on the poll but it varies greatly. Recently, it's been about twice monthly but before 2024 it was more like every other month or so.

Before we had our daughter I was at the range every 2-4 weeks. After having her I'm lucky if I get out 4 times a year but occasionally shoot .22 at the house. I'm probably in the ballpark of every 2-3 months these days.

Trap weekly on Wednesdays. Gun club usually has two events each month and I try to get some practice in between. 50 rds 12 ga per week and I've gone through about 300 rds of 22LR since getting the Henry back in Dec.

When Mrs Ronin and I competed on a regular basis we'd go through a case of ammo, each, a month. Sometimes more. I don't compete anymore. Mrs Ronin tries to get to matches monthly, time and weather permitting. We don't get to the range to shoot as much these days. Too busy dealing with life. I have two guns I bought a couple of months ago that I haven't shot yet. Not sure if I'll get to shoot them before fall.
