Police responded to the 1600 block of Pine Street in the city just after 10 a.m. Saturday.

SCRANTON, Pa. — An hours-long standoff that began Saturday morning in Scranton has ended.

Police responded to a home along the 1600 block of Pine Street just after 10 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, a 27-year-old woman suffering a gunshot wound came out of the home and was taken to the hospital.
