If you had to pick a rifle from WW2 other than a US rifle what would you take .....I left the Carcano out as it was a 6.5mm in a 7mm/8mm word.

Enfield. It's got a 10 round mag, it's accurate, and I like the sights.

For WWII I would pick an Enfield No.4 Mk 1 or Mk 1*, because the No. 4 Mk 2 wasn't introduced until 1949.

Can I have an MP 40?
Just because they're cool. I'm probably going to get shot anyway, I might as well have a few seconds of fun first.
