But I want to add something that unfortunately in today*s environment is necessary. The ambush. What appears to be simply a person in minor distress, flat tire, hood up, etc. is actually a set up and as soon as you stop to help you are attacked, robbed, carjacked, etc. Just something to keep in the back of your mind and be prepared for.
Beat me to it. I know someone that happened to many years ago way before BLM, Soros DA's and cellphones. It was in Norfolk VA and it happened to one of my shipmates. Pulled over to assist a scantily dressed woman with the hood of the car up and got robbed by a couple of guys waiting for a victim. When you see something like that call 911 and tell them there's a driver on the side of the road and keep going.

It would be neat to show up with a carload of buddies right behind and teach the hoodlums a lesson. Leaving them bleeding in the trunk of that car would be righteous.

I rolled past a girl with a flat today on the turnpike. I was slowing to stop and help when ‘she’ stood up and looked my way. Big guy with a man bun. Everything looked ok until it looked my way, then it fairly screamed ‘ GAS GAS GAS, get me out of here’.

Gunlawyer has some good posts on this and would talk about this during his seminars. It is easy to misinterpret a situation. You need to take a lot of things into consideration if you get involved and be aware things are not always what they seen to be

Sadly, you may end up an eternity away if anything goes south. Unless it's against you or yours, I still think that 911 is the best option. The rest is luck or karma or whatever.

You are probably correct with this approach. I sure wouldn't intervene because some guy was upset and wanted a free meal because he got large fries instead of super-size fries.
