Man hit with pipe loses wallet to assailant

Plum police are searching for a man they said struck another man in the face with a pipe before taking his cell phone and wallet late last night.

Police said the incident occurred at 11:42 p.m. in the parking lot of the Kellywood Manor Apartment complex off Milltown Road.

Nicholas Yenets, 23, who lives in the complex, was hit as he exited his vehicle, police said. A brief scuffle ensued, and the victim bit the suspect on the thigh.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-1-inch white male in his mid-20s, weighing about 200 pounds and wearing a gray tassel cap. He drove from the scene in a white Chevy Cavalier.
