Others I really only go to when I want information about something I'm shooting or working on, CZ forum, Beretta, Glock, but once I get my info, I'm gone, I don't hang around them.
I started watching the gun tube channels that have live chats. The live chats are similar people as you find here.

No. I see less and less activity here. Very few new faces.
This is what I've seen too. The numbers of members here seems pretty constant, but actual participating members are very few and shrinking.

I belong to a handful of gun forums, but this is the only one I regularly post to. The others are just for reference more than anything else. I couldn't care less about other social media platforms. Few threads last long in the Firearms forum here. Seems like most of the info folks want or need has already been provided, or they found it elsewhere. I've seen lots of people come and go from here over the past 17 years. The dynamic hasn't changed, just the names of the rabble-rousers.

PAFOA's platform is ancient, it is not helping attract/retain people. Most subforums get basically zero posts. The platform that all the others are on (not sure what it's called - but SigTalk, 1911 Addicts, etc. use it).

Agree that the moderation here is appropriate. And the classifieds are great of course with ability to find locals.

This is the only forum I'm active on, otherwise I just follow various Facebook pages/groups. Those have advantages with the amount of active users, but you can't do things like buy/sell guns or accessories. Not that I really do that here now but it's nice to look at if anything would catch my eye.

If PAFOA became a "FaceBook group" and eliminated this forum, I wonder how many current users would switch over.

    I wouldn't.

Fuck FaceBook. I will not join it. Ever.

On a related note - I just sent PAFOA another $50 this week. Maybe if everyone on here did, Dan could buy some advertising on FaceBook (:

I used to be a supporter, but I never saw a return (other than access to the supporter forum, which was always dead), so I stopped.

I live in PRNY and am very close to the PA border, so PAFOA, nyfirearms, and nygunforum are the only pages I visit.

I come here for good news and firearms talk, and the NY sites to read depressing news about how we are going to be further oppressed today.
