Birthdays aren't and never were big deals at our house. I find it funny or interesting or whatever you want to call it when people go all googly over birthdays. I'll never forget the conversation between a co-worker and our terminal manager. The manager was raving about how it was the co-worker's birthday and his response was something like, "I'm Jewish, we find vanity in birthdays and we don't partake in vanity".
