Re: Can a non-profit gun club let a member run a for-profit business on club grounds?
You should request they install some hidden cameras.

If the board is making major decisions without bringing it to the floor at a meeting to discuss with members, that is messed up. Time to dig and see what other decisions were made like this

Re: Can a non-profit gun club let a member run a for-profit business on club grounds?
That's being resolved. This particular issue has a long and tortured history. As I mentioned above, though, the new contract will be voted on by all members (if they so choose to vote.) I'm also introducing a bylaw change to ensure that members do not have to be present at a meeting to vote. (Apparently that is currently the case anyway, but nobody knows about it.)
This is a relatively small club run by volunteers, and the new board is doing some catchup work.

One club I shoot at has a Members Only, absolutely no guests policy. I was there one afternoon when a lady member who was an NRA instructor brought 3 students for some range time. Uh Uh said the RO. He carried membership apps in his bag and offered to sign the students up but they declined and they left without shooting.
