10k in 556, 9mm, 5.7, .22. I have found that number to be generally enough to feed as many guns as I have.

Never have enough ammo. I figure I don*t have to feed them all at once, just the one I*m using and the ones family members are using. We (family) picked up a bunch of 9 at the oaks for 205$ a case. Yes it*s brass reloadable 115 fmj. Good for range work or zombies if pushed comes to shove. Deals are out there, you just gotta be ready with cash in hand.

I balanced that act many years ago. Minimum of 5 years on the shelf for anything I own. Most many more than that. Only 1 9mm handgun on the shelf and 1 carbine. Revolvers are my weakness, but for those I have lead, primers, powder and brass to last Methuselah.

Found a case of 5.56 today that I didn*t know I had, and can*t even remember buying it. That*s when I know I have a good bit of ammo but you can never have enough ammo. I also just bought another 1k rnds of 22 subsonic just because.

Learn to reload, 5.56 is probably the cheapest caliber, and its pretty easy to find brass at the range.

Most definitely, glad I got into reloading long time ago, have plenty of 5.56 and 9mm brass and enough powder and primers for years. 99% of 9mm I shoot is reloads, I don*t shoot factory 9mm much, the factory stuff stays in the stash.

Also reload 5.56, 308, 6.5 creedmoor and 45-70. Couldn*t imagine just getting into reloading today, the cost to get started would be high.

I have almost a full box of .22's and half a dozen 12 ga. rabbit loads. Is that enough?

This is exactly what the leftists are hoping for. If you can't feed it, it's just a club or steel knuckles.
