Default Last day/first grouse of season...

So here's the view of the shot...looking just beyond the outhouse at the big dark log laying in the pines...

    ...and a little closer...

JUST got done sighting in the 22s when I heard the unmistakable thumping of a grouse w/ the distinct whisp of feathers at the end of each...I KNEW it had to be close. Turns out he was about 40 yards away and I missed the first shot at him(right over top). As luck would have it, 20 minutes later, he came back and gave himself away AGAIN. Fatal mistake.

Guess what I'm having for dinner on Sunday?

Not to be a dick, but were you wearing the required orange with your license displayed on your back while sighting in your .22s?

Targets of opportunity are fun, but many people fail to see the blatant game law violations(not meaning to accuse you of breaking any laws) in their excitement and going bragging on the internet about it may not be the wisest choice.
