Not necessarily. Someone can decide something is "best" purely based on appearance, if that's what they would like to do. Others have been known to make that determination purely based on cost.

7 pages and no one mentioned either being the reason why theirs is the best. I believe all of the posters determined their best by actually shooting them.

My best shooting semi is 30 years old, beat to hell and back with 30k plus rnds through it, and it was only 300.00. Unlike you those that responded probably shoot their guns.

My comment wasn't limited to what people in this thread had to say, or even guns in general. It was about what people determine to be "best" in general.

Do you really not believe that some people use price to determine "best" for at least some things they are considering purchasing?

Mine was a well broken in CZ 75 rental gun from a nearby range, I've never shot so accurate, and what a trigger it had. There is something to be said for a well broken in handgun.

"Best"?

Not the "nicest" or the most expensive or the most kollecktable or the prettiest but the 1st gen Glock 21 I had was amazingly accurate and dependable.

I don't recall it ever misfiring with a variety of ammo and it seemed as if I couldn't miss with it...

STI DVC .40. It was a friend's USPSA limited pistol as many people had at the time. I like my Tac Sport but it's heavier and not as slim and sexy. I remember as a kid shooting my grandpa's series 70 1911 in .38 Super which also had that distinct feel of tight like a Swiss watch and put rounds exactly where my eyes were looking seemingly without effort.
