New Ultimate Carry J Frame-Lispey's exclusive
Here's a new modified Smith and Wesson J Frame revolver designed for modern carry. It has a better grip, redesigned trigger, new sights and more! It comes in both .38 Special and .32 H&R Magnum.

Re: New Ultimate Carry J Frame-Lispey's exclusive
I had a 642 and I hated it. Too much recoil from .38 +p ammo. I have a Ruger LCR in .327 Mag and I think .32 H&R Mag is the sweet spot for that gun. .327 Mag is very stout, as is Buffalo Bore .32 H&R. But Federal and Hornady .32 H&R defensive rounds are damn near perfect. And with six round on tap, it's gives the pocket revolver a little extra. I'm glad to see S&W is offering this in .32 H&R Mag, and in a six shot. I may have to give one a try if I can find a rental.

Already have a couple J frames. Neither are carried unless I just can't hide anything else and need concealment.

I have a j frame bodyguard, nice light gun but the 5 shots is a deal breaker, 25 years ago they were cool. To many modern small 9mm*s with higher capacity.
Today was a good day!

Gotta admit there is still a cool factor with them tho. I have had many but am down to only 1 but with things like the 365 and Shield plus it*s too easy to carry a better round and more of them in something similarly sized and easier to carry

Re: New Ultimate Carry J Frame-Lispey's exclusive
I saw the video a couple of days ago, looks like a good option. I've been looking at the S&W 642 Performance Center gun and the Kimber K6XS a bit lately, might have to add this one to the equation.
Keystone Indoor Range has the K6XS on the rental wall, I am going to rent it in the near future to see how I like it.
Time will tell... no pressing need/ or even want, but who knows...Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

.32 h&r is tempting, but .327 federal would be even more tempting.

Re: New Ultimate Carry J Frame-Lispey's exclusive
I bought a 20 round box of Buffalo Bore 158 LHP+P and fired exactly five rounds. My hand hurt and I wasn't sure if my 442 was going to stay together. After that trip to the range, I sold off the remainder of the box and won't be shooting any in that lightweight gun again.
Regardless, that new 442/642 Ultimate Carry is a nice addition and option for those who prefer a simple revolver for carry.

Hi Ronin! I think I bought your 642 (I can't trace the threads back far enough on here to be sure).
Anyhow; the S&W 642 Airweight shoots & carries well; but OOOH-YEAH! It's got a serious kick to it! Especially with the heavier bullets, and even moreso with +P.
I mostly shoot 90 or 110 grain standard velocity Hornady CD in it. MUCH easier!
