How's this for a concept a rifle with AR layout only instead of semi-auto a straight pull bolt action. That way we get the versatility of the AR and the wide range of barrels, accessories and even different calibers that the system can use. BUT we're still able to tell the grabbers to shove it!

Already exists. Lantac makes the Raven, which is available in the US. There are a few straight pull AR manufacturers overseas in places like New Zealand and Germany, where semi-auto rifles are illegal or hard to come by.
