Like most .44 mag rifles today the twist rate in the barrel is decent.
Would be interested to know their bore/groove diameter.It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

I was going to get in the market for a .357 lever gun and was banking on the Rossi, already have a Henry in .41 Magnum, nice rifle. I think the .44 will just be a introductory chambering to test the market. S&W would be marketing fools if they did not release it in .500S&W,.460S&W,45colt and .454, Im sure .357 will be offered soon, so I may wait out the reviews and see if any QC issues pop up. Good to see something other than a tupperware pistol or another variant of an AR and a freshened up Kel-Tec clone come to market
Now something really cool would be a re issue of a non NFA version of the S&W Model 76
