.gov can only do so much especially now with this retarded administration. Give it time, probably closer to election time.

An Oct. 7th type event would totally jack us up. Response at the local level would be better than the Izzy because there are more 1st responders here and just about all the cops have rifles at their fingertips. Response would be better but we*d still get jacked up badly.

Hit and run tactics in blue areas would be largely unopposed except for the assets I just mentioned. The follow up attacks would create fear and terror that would paralyze travel and commerce. Remember those two azzhoe tards known as the *Beltway sniper*? They choked the entire east coast with only a couple brain cells between them. An organized attack by motivated, trained terrorists would grind the U.S. to halt in hours.

But* be of good cheer. It*s NOT going to happen here until the following:
    - the money runs out. We give support and aid to our enemies across the globe at levels unmatched by any other country. When the money stops flowing, we*re only valuable as a symbol of western excess to be destroyed as a show of power. *There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger*.

    - The left uses that type of attack to bring the Republic to heel by ushering in unconstitutional legislation ( think patriot act on steroids) to destroy the Republic and change it to the soft socialism seen across Europe and Canada.
Make no mistake. The ONLY reason the Great Satan hasn*t been attacked in an organized way on a scale much larger than Sept. 11th is:
    THE MONEY KEEPS FLOWING.

They're looking for justification to go full blown communism, I'm surprised they haven't tried something like this yet.

We guard the beauty products at walmart better than we do our power transmission infrastructure, I think I read somewhere there was a 36 month lead time on some of the bigger ones
There is a retired PECO guy around here and he reports that transformers are not in stock and have extended lead times.
An intelligent initial offensive would take out multiple transmission line towers leading to NYC. Lines run all the way from Niagara Falls to the rotten apple and could be compromised in multiple locations pretty easily. Once that is done, power will be taken from everywhere else and funneled to NYC, leaving the rest of us in the lurch without even hitting our facilities. Then, taking out some of their reservoirs by blowing the dams would be a nice addition. Their water comes from several remote reservoirs. In my mind, the destruction could easily be wider and more devastating than people realize.

One thing that novels underestimate, is that once an attack happens, you can't attack where the police and military are not, because they're everywhere. We have a lot of them. After 9/11, every sensitive building was locked down and there were armed guards.
Hard and sensitive targets, yes. Soft targets, much less so. A rent a cop or two at the mall isn't a ton of deterent for a small team.

And in the case of Israel, they didn't care if it was just "people locations"...maybe even better, for added shock effect.

there was an article somewhere sating that the European theater of the war could have been ended in less than 18 months if the allies had focused on power generation and transmission infrastructure of the axis powers, the electrical grid was too large to cover with AA effectively and was just as vulnerable as ours is even to this day.

911 was not their last attempt. They attempt it daily by bribing and or blackmailing our legislators.
