Because Pittsburgh is Central PA. I wonder how much money or time or blood or sweat or tears Natalie Ahwesh has volunteered for her local fire departments to have a voice in what "values that all firefighters should uphold." Maybe if they donate a million dollars to the fire department they wouldn't need to have fund raisers at all. Put your money where your mouth is! Have you seen the prices of new fire trucks nowadays? Maybe their township of 2000 people could take control of their own fire department and provide their own fire service at the expense of everyone's already stretched dollar in today's day and age with increased taxes. Maybe better yet the eco terrorists succeed in shutting down a private company because their views don't match their own. What do you think property taxes are gonna do then? The community in Lamar Township and abroad better push back.

It's not really my thing but you're correct. It's very popular in Central PA, the prius driving concrete jungle dwellers have never stepped foot into the mountains in rural Pennsylvania. There are signs advertising pelt trade hanging in the local gun shop, Miller's, who is also cosponsoring this event. There are chicken farms and countless other local farms that cut losses from predators and other invasive animals, if these hunts were so bad the PGC would set limits and restrictions. I really have no interest in predator hunting, I go out for the occasional deer season but this is what the membership of that fire department is interested in. They are hard working heros for their community, putting their lives on the line for absolutely ZERO return as a volunteer and they don't deserve to get shit on like they are.
