2023 homicide rates
I'm confused. News just reported stats for 2023 nationwide, including many cities around us, that shows a large drop in homicides/homicides by gun, etc.. How can that be? Record high gun sales and licenses to carry. Record number of States moved to Constitutional carry. And the media is constantly telling us guns are evil and gun violence is out of control. And the anti-gun crowd has never been more adamant about taking away gun rights. Could it be possible that taking guns away from law abiding citizens is not the answer? Could it be preserving Constitutional rights is important. Could it be honest citizens who have the right to defend themselves are important? The horror.................................. wake up liberals/anti's/dummies! Rant over - lol.

Re: 2023 homicide rates
Philadelphia had 106 less homicides in 2023 (410) than in 2022 (516).
One thing that I did notice, we had more shootings and murders by people with LTCF*s. I don*t know how many of them were legitimate self defense shootings, but I noticed many more listings of LTCFs among suspected drug dealers and gang bangers and random motorists who get involved in road rage incidents.
