Want to Find a Gun Smith in Delco/Montco Area

I have a lifelong friend who has a physical disorder with his hands. He has a Rock Island 10mm 1911 with a very hard trigger pull. He wants to find a Gun Smith who can install a new lighter or adjustable trigger.

My friend and Gun Smith in Havertown recently retired, and I understand he sold off all of his tools so now I need to find a Gun Smith in my area.

Any suggestions?

If the trigger is smooth and has a clean crisp break, you can also just easily lighten up the pull by adjusting the sear spring. Not a permanent modification. Just involves detail stripping the frame and careful bending to a leaf spring. Can easily get it down to a reliable 2.5-3lbs if the stock ignition components are halfway decent.

You could do it for him if you feel comfortable.

Also I'll say the obvious, 10mm is probably not the best caliber for him with a disability. Maybe trade down to a 9mm.
