Default Looking for quality gunsmith near Coatesville, Chester County

    Howdy all,

I have a Remington 700 SPS varmint with 26” heavy barrel.

I’d like to get the barrel threaded and muzzle brake added, but I’ve read if there is any gap or chamber at all between the muzzle and brake it will
negatively affect the accuracy, so I want someone that can do a top notch job of it

    Chris

Might try these guys, they make some pretty fine rifles, probably an hour drive from C'Ville

Gene at Village arms could have done that, but I understand he retired and its now owned by Trop

Oh hell no, I was just there yesterday, they are having a great sale 20% off all in stock firearms,10% off ammo. Just meant that I do not think anyone there is doing any smithing in house.

Actually I messaged them just in case and they replied

    "Hi Chris,
We are currently expanding our gunsmithing operations. We plan to offer barrel threading in the coming months.

    Have a great day!"

So, while it doesn't help me at the moment, nice to know for future reference
