Default Looking for a new pistol for steel plate shoots, suggestions?

Like the title says, Ive been shooting a lot of steel plate matches recently, mostly with my current Ruger mkiv. I love it, but I'd like to switch it up now and then and shoot centerfire optics. So, that leads me to my question. Budget is around $800. Would prefer something with a 15+ round capacity in 9mm. I've looked at and handled Glocks, don't like them, never have. Was at the shop on Wednesday and handled the sig 365 macro, Springfield echelon and a Walther, as well as a girsan 2311. The echelon, sig and Walther felt the best in hand. Concerns with the sig are the shorter barrel, making follow up shots slower and harder to get in target. The Canik options always intrigue me. Just wondering if there's anything else in that $800 and under price range in missing. To sum it up, the needs are:
    9mm
    Optics ready/included
    Not a Glock
    $800 and under

FN 509. This is the compact version, but meets all your reqs for $650. I have 2 509s and love them.

I shot the various Echelons when they first came out, I liked the largest frame setup. I have a weird place in my heart for (Croatian) Springfield’s though…. Having the XD40, Saint Victor, Hellcat, & a Hellion (inbound)…

The Sig & FN are great, but the FN’s mag shroud/grip-extender tends to bite my hand. A fully tricked out Sig is gonna be way above that range, but with the modular FCG, you can start somewhere and customize to your competition or fighting needs as time goes on.

If you like the Sig why not look at the P320, I've got the M17 version and it shoots great. I'd also give a vote for the FN509 as well, it's a great shooting gun. If you go that route I'd recommend getting the tactical version but that would be the upper end of your budget.

I use the Canik TP9 Elite combat for steel shoots in the below picture. I also added the comp and it shoots extremely well with very little to no muzzle flip. The comp came from https://disdef.com/shop/canik-compensator/

Do not buy a compact pistol if you want to be competitive. You want a full size pistol with a good trigger.

Cz p09 has been selling cheap lately. I don't know if they're "optics ready " versions though. I have the full size p10 and like it way better than the glock flavors too. For the price, you could have either cut for optics full under 800 though.

There's so many options and it seems like the more I look at the more I'm torn between which one to get. I was looking and the cz p10 is available optics ready, the p09 has plates available for it. The oaks show is this weekend, if I have time I might try to get out there and check things out.

While I don't shoot any sort of competition or anything like that I can second the Canik. I have a TP9SFX like below and it has been dead reliable. I have heard that folks use it right out of the box for 3 gun but can't confirm that.
